Castle’s payment methods explained

Back in December, we changed the way we accept payment for orders placed with Castle. We’ve recently received a few questions regarding these options, so we thought it might be useful to explain exactly what your payment options are.

Our products have two prices:

  • standard price (the price quoted on our price lists) if you either:
    • pay at the time of order, or
    • authorise us to deduct payment 14 days following your order from a credit card authorisation that we securely keep on file
  • a ‘pay within 30 days’ price, which is an additional $66 per product ordered.

Can I lock in the lower ‘standard’ price without paying immediately?

Yes. If you would like to lock in the lower standard price, but do not wish to pay at the time of order, you will need to fill in our Enduring Credit Card Authorisation form.

Submitting this form means that Castle will securely store your credit card authorisation on file and will withdraw payment from your card upon your approval when placing an order.

What if you don’t want to keep your credit card on file with Castle?

That is not a problem. If you don’t submit an Enduring Credit Card Authorisation Form, you can either:

  • pay the standard price at the time of order (via credit card, bank deposit or cheque), or
  • pay within 30 days for an additional $66.

Why did we make this change?

We changed our payment methods last year as we were finding that our multi-tiered price levels (based on how long a client took to pay) were confusing for clients and difficult to administer. We therefore decided to simplify our payment methods, so that:

  • you can benefit from the ability to pay the lower, upfront price, but hold off on paying for two weeks, and
  • you can securely store your credit card details with us, if you choose, and not have to take the time adding your payment details every time you place an order.

We’ve received some great feedback about these new methods, with clients saying that it has made payment a much more efficient process.
