Changes to Shareholders
The shareholder(s) are the owners of the Company. Their proportional ownership of the Company is reflected in the number of shares they hold.
Shareholders may hold any number of shares and this will reflect the amount of money they have invested in the Company. In proprietary companies, it is common for shareholders to hold a small number of shares: 1, 2, 5, 6 10, 50 and 100 are all commonly used. The number used is arbitrary.
Companies may operate with one shareholder - who may be the same person as the Director.
