Obtain Common Seal
Common seals are optional and a company is not legally required to have one. If you decide you would like this supplied with your company, read on:
A common seal is a rubber stamp bearing the Company’s name and ACN.
When a company needs to execute a legal document, it can do so by affixing its common seal to that document. Every time the seal is used, directors must authorise its use and minutes must be prepared to record the directors’ decision. A company may have only one seal. It is illegal to have more.
Please keep your seal in a safe place. But if you do lose it, another can be made up for you. The cost to you of a common seal being supplied with your company is $44.00 (which includes GST of $4).
